SP2 rider...and Tygausa.com

Hello RC51 forum! Ride several bikes, among them an SP2 I'm turning back from track to street this winter. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Figured might as well pony up vendor status as well. Daily ride is usually an RC31, sometimes an RC46. Can't wait to get the SP2 together this winter for some springtime fun. Will post pics later - but right now, well, she needs some work to be presentable! Will likely bolt on some of our own bits in the process...but that's a post for another time.

Ride safe.

WW

(so technically I'm not an RC51 rider, yet...but my partner, the founder of TygaUSA is )

Welcome WW.

Look at the first word of your post. I think you forgot the o (we know, it happens to everyone!)

The RC46 is a VFR. What year? I sold mine when I got my project RC51 done. Once I started riding the 51, I sold the 46 for 51 seed money (Like how I'm throwing that jargin around? )

So what's a RC31?

Thanks for that jondog9! Lazy right pinky after the CRF250X ripped off the tendon a few years back

RC31 = NT650 = Hawk GT. I have an '88, '89' and '90 if you can believe it. One is my streetfighteresque-caferacer like around town rip roaring beast, the other two works in progress.

The viffer is an '00. There's also an NC24 floating around, and an NC29...CBR250R...few other bikes. That tends to change from time to time though.

The NT650 is a really nice bike and very reliable.
I met a fellow in Germany who had 120,000 Km (75K miles) on his with no problems.
It was his daily driver in all weather.

I know a fellow who had two of them and he loves them, especially when he takes them up to the Dragon.

Found a couple of photos of one that's race-prepped with some RC51 body work.
Nice concept for a street bike.
However on second look, it seems he's using an NT650 frame with a Honda single engine.

Yeah, the little 647cc beast is a fun one for sure. Lot of people do a lot of mods to the bike. 700cc motors, various bodywork bits, front end swaps (have one in the works now with a 748 front end), etc. Even bone stock they're a kick in the pants. Put good suspenders on them with decent rubber and they're really a hand full of smiles!
