i finally own my first RC

i was lucky to find someone that wanted to trade my 02 954rr for their 04 RC51, i had to drive 11 hours one way to get it but it was well worth it, i have never rode one and fell in love instantly on the test ride, we made the trade and now i cant wait for winter to end, i'm going to post some pics in a day or two, this is the best christmas present i ever gave myself....

Tis the season!
Assuming that NH is in fair to good shape, you got the better deal. IMO
I know there are just as many 954 owners that are as loyal as us RC51 types, so it's all preference, but still, the RC51 is straight-up cool.
After that far of a drive, did you get to test ride it?

hey jon, yeah i test rode it, we both went for a nice ride - he rode my 954 and i rode his rc - i wasnt sure what to expect because i never rode an rc but i fell in love instantly, it's a fun bike - my trip to N.C. was well worth it. 11 hour drive there, spent 3 hours with him and then turned around and drove 11 hours home, got 3 hours sleep and then worked 14 hours

Looks clean from here....I had a 2001 929, great bike. Not much difference between the 929 and 954, I think you made a pretty sweet trade!

One of our members, LDH, wrote this some time ago but it's still very relevant. Great RC51 specific info about exhausts.
