Smile Hello from Devon, UK

Hi to all SP owners and fans. I'm hailing from the SW of the UK for all our world wide correspondents not familiar with the UK. Last November I got a 2002, SP2 in white with black and grey bits. I'm past my sell-by date compared to a lot of you but I have had 13 previous bikes from schoolboy trials to MX then road bikes of the usual growing up stages. I once owned the only CBX 6 in my county back in '79 and due to a small inheritance have returned to biking with a VFR 800f for cruising and the VTR for bruising. One purchase to reduce the pain in the butt was to buy an Ohlin's shock from Kyle Racing for a tad over half the UK price. Its not called "Rip-off Britain" for nothing. That and a gearing change, fork springs to match my weight and I should be set. All I need now is some spring weather.
I've been an avid browser of the site and look forward to much more.

Hello and welcome.
With regard to the ohlins shock I came up with a rough import duty cost and decided against it so I'm saving up for a Maxton one which works out a little cheaper but should be just as good I'm hoping.

Hi Pirks, I don't know if it just came through customs without notice but vehicle parts in relatively small packing doesn't get their attention but price for H0204 shock with hyd adjuster was $1089, which was 730 to me in Feb 15. Sorry, a bit more like 3/4 of UK price but delivered in 7 days. Most UK and Europe price is 1100 plus. Thanks for the reply.

Wow you did well, a shock from the above is 703 without delivery.
Would I be so lucky I wonder? An ohlins would look nice.

At last, another one in the best part of the UK. Well nearly, still the West country.

Will have to meet up when the weather improves a bit, I'm just down the A38 in Liskeard.

Get your post count up so we can see some pictures.

Didn't get away with the duty. Just had a bill from DHL for 50 quid so no problem, its still 250+ less than the UK price. Just got to work out all the adjustments. Putting the bonus towards the fork rebuild for a plush ride.

I hope your interpretation of wankers is different to the UK version? If not, I suggest you don't visit. Or does Senior Member translate into Old Cock?

When i ordered parts from the USA i had to pick them up from the DHL depot and the bill was around a 150 quid for sp2 parts but a massive amount cheaper than buying from the UK (around 230 cheaper.)
Hmm may try the Ohlins option now, did you have to email the seller before buying?
