Greetings from Georgia

Hello all, my name is Jerome and I'm a proud owner of a 2000 RVT. I had a VTR1000 prior too this and it was 00042. I traded it in took the money and put it down on a 2001 yet my ex-wife raised hell and not only did I loose my bike, thankfully I post that ex some years later. LOL. Took me 16 years to get it but I finally have one. It was given to me as a retirement gift from my lovely wife so thought some mods were added that I didn't care for...who could complain. I've been riding since 1988 and my bikes have been CM400T, 86 VFR750F, 94 CBR F2 & 97 VTR1000. It had just over 8,000 miles when my wife got it and needless to say since Jan...I'm well over 9,000. New back tire is needed so I'm gonna throw some Dunlops back on it. I will be putting the Roadsmart 2s on it as they are the best all around tire I've researched. I'm not looking to carve up back roads (I will however lay wait to the occasional jug handle) and the combination of soft and hard compound on the rear along with the front which gives great water displacement is exactly what I need.

The first shot is of it the day I was surprised with it during a BBQ.

A few months later, sunny day after I had just cleaned her up as well as her chain.

Thanks. I saw a 06 last night at Publix. Didn't see the rider. I should have left him a note because I'm kinda having some throttle issues that I think aren't known to be present on all RCs.

Might have to contact some of you parts hoarders then. The bracket (proper nomenclature escapes me) which supports the upper windscreen and attaches to the front of the tank is bent and twisted a little. Owner said bike was hit by a fork lift and it's the next part I want to replace.

1971, now don't get me wrong, I can crave some curves it's just the onslaught of sport bike riders, stunters, etc over the past 15 years (bought my first in 89 ) has given us a bad name and brought unwanted attention so I kinda shy away from something's unless I know who I am with and can I trust their riding skills. Gone on to many back road ventures that ended with some cat who thought he could ride and realized he wasn't as good as he thought.
But my current wife rides and I don't need her collecting on that life insurance anytime soon. LOL. But I've always wanted to take a ride up on the dragon's tail and that's something on my bucket list.

No, No, No need to apologize... I got pulled on over on HWY129 for holding up traffic - doing 15 mph, dragging knee with Rok drops... Sparkling away.... for the cameras
Beside the fact .. Bought/tuned/full suspension a Superhawk..Just so the wife could ride along
