Cool Intro

New the forum after procuring what has been my dream bike for 15 years now. Just brought home today. The note on the ride home took me immediately back to my old navy days when i first laid eyes on this beast. Best birthday present ever from my wife!!!!
Looking forward to being part of the community!!! It is with a bit of sadness though as my Triumph ST now has to go. I've had this trump for 10 years now and it has been one of the best bikes i have ever owned in over 40 years of riding. I only mention it here because my wife thinks i am a bit Bat Crap Crazy getting remorsful over the Trumps soon departure, but i know there is empathy here for this type of craziness.

Welcome....and why can you NOT own two bike? You may want to rethink selling it.

I mean if you ever have to service the RC you will need something to ride, right?

Post up some pictures when you get enough posts....

most excellent point indeed, but i am so OCD with my bikes i get twitchy when they are dirty etc and i only have the room for one bike and i wouldn't be able to sleep at night keeping one outside in the elements. It won't be going to far as my son-in-law wants it so she will have a good home . will defiantly hit some pics when i get a few more posts. the previous owner owns a performance shop and did (IMHO) some beautiful powder coating of all things black and chromed the frame and wheels. To our true hardcore racing friends here it may be a bit much on the bling, but to posers such as myself(only racing i have done is taking Keith Code Cal Superbike school and track days here and there) i like the bling
thanks for the welcome!!!!!

Welcome and I can certainly empathize with seeing the RC's come out when I was in the NAVY as well lol! You will absolutely enjoy every minute of RC51 ownership - and yeah two bikes = twice the fun and options.

You need a sportsbike and a touring bike, then you need an off-road bike and a smallish one for popping to the shops. Don't forget to get a stroker smoker or two, before they're all gone to people with devilish grins and a lingering smell of oil. I hate to be the one to say it but only then will you feel complete & whole.

So start by not selling the ST.

Finally got my 10 posts. Here is a pic of my new birthday present. hard to see, but the previous owner powder coated everything that was black even side stand. Looks really great. Curious to hear thoughts on the chrome frame and wheels bling

Welcome Johnny. My other bike is a Goldwing and I manage to fit them both into the garage; where there's a will and all that LOL. Does get pretty creative in the winter with the RZR in there too though

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound
