Welcome to the zoo....he's not shittin' about the leghumpers either.

At least post some pictures of your bike when you get enough posts, that's a good start.

Did you happen to visit Indy this past weekend?? You missed a good show!

Thank you. Yah, I didn't think he was kidding at all. I work in a boys world so I'm use to the testosterone driven shenanigans!

I don't own a bike, but I'm going to get one now that I've moved across the country and my Mom won't disown me for decreasing my survival rate by 80% lol.

I didn't get a chance to go, but I would love to go next year. I'm trying to see if I can score time off for the USGP (R.I.P. Jules Bianci). Do you follow F1 Racing as well? Rossi is having a much better time with his Yamaha. I thought he was a bit awful with Ducati. But I'm just a girl...the hell do I know? Haha

First off, welcome to the site!
We've had several female members over the years.
For whatever reason, most have moved on.

Gender aside, Rossi had a horrible time at Ducati, and I feel that Hayden wasted prime racing life staying for 6 years.

I admire loyalty, but for a racer, I felt Nicky was throwing his career away.
He's been back on a Honda Open bike, but this may be his last year in MotoGP.
He's up there with Rossi in age, and the team owners always want young talent.
There's rumors he may drop down to WSBK, but only Nicky knows for sure.

Rossi was able to persuade Yamaha to give him another chance.
I'm sure Yamaha was happy to have him back, since he's worth a fortune in PR.
Lorenzo may not have been happy, but that's racing.

I'm happy that Rossi saw he needed to change his riding style and adapted.
Many thought he was on the downside, but as always, he surprised them all.

I used to watch F1, but I haven't bothered in the past several years.
It just so aggravating with all the rules changes and all the Eco-BS.
I find it much more exciting watching riders than "bobble-head" drivers.

Thank you.

Maybe the afore-mentioned leg humpers were too demanding of the females and ran them away lol.

I never understood why Hayden stayed on for so long with Ducati. I get the whole loyalty thing, but when one's career is contingent upon their success, the self sacrifice baffles me. He's pretty much come full circle back to Honda. He was so promising early in his career and then I don't know what happened. He's had quite formidable teammates too (Rossi and Pedrosa), so the competition never really lacked and who knows if he faltered to it. The race engineers couldn't have set up the bikes so vastly different to affect success in favor of one and not the other. Pedrosa has had less starts than Hayden with much better results. I not doubting the man can race and I'm sure he's got some left in the tank. I too am glad that Rossi saw the need for change and adapted accordingly. I'm not surprised by his success at Yamaha. He won 4 of his 6 championships with them and then the well dried up. I will be the first to admit that I wrote him off in 2012. He was absolutely awful and I was thoroughly fascinated with guys like Simoncelli, Stoner and Lorenzo. It was so incredibly sad when Simoncelli passedaway (R.I.P. Super Sic...you're probably doing burnouts with the Angels in Heaven). There is nothing like waking up at some ungodly hour to watch a race live from Malaysia and then you see your favorite rider laying dead on the track...sobering moment for sure. I really miss his aggressive style and how he brought a youthful charisma to the sport that you don't see too often these days.

As for Formula One Racing...hmm...I surprise myself every year that I continue to follow it. Ecclestone has water-down the sport so much in an effort to level the playing field. I remember when the cars use to have V-10s and who cared about a level-playing field? Then the V-8s were introduced, yawn. I think it's pretty funny that Ecclestone and his cohorts have taken a keen interest in the environment...by implementing a NIGHT race! I mean, Singapore looks lovely at night (as seen on TV), but for goodness sakes...does he have any idea how much energy it takes to light up an F1 track at night? God forbid you can't find a frigging wheel nut!

Men...just kidding!

Welcome to the forum Front Sight! This is by far the best one I've been a part of, and the members are super knowledgeable and have helped my RC51 ownership even more special than any other bike or forum I've had.
Is your screen name in reference to weaponry? I had to ask, former Marine. Looking forward to you purchasing your future RC51, and the pics to accompany the bike!

Welcome FS!!! Always great to see a lady talking racing - more common now but still a rare breed.

Stoner is still the only one in modern times to tame the duck. Not sure tame is really the right word he was just bat crap crazy enough to let that thing move around under him like no one else. Looking at riding style i would bet MM might be a good duck match, but i doubt that will ever see the light of day

The indy GP is great but i fear only TX may be left on the calendar next year. With no Americans left in the paddock two GP races in US might be tough sell.

This is a great forum - you will enjoy the company especially if you manage to grab an RC for your bike!!!!
