hi guys.
already posted some thing but i should say hi now.
so hi to all.
i am from uk but have been living in holland for a good 26 years,
yep long time.
i have had no bike for give or take 12years, had my heart set on a rc51
and finnaly end of march i got it;-)
really happy with this bike such a joy to have such a great machine.
sadly a fair few things i had and still have to change..
like slipping clutch plates with the castrol oil,,,grrrrr
also needs a power commander in it and a good tune.
my best friend has a repsol sp1 and have to say what a beautiful machine, we are both mental when it comes to our rc51 bikes, always thinking of things to upgrade and make perfect. we drive as much as we can together but we don,t always have time. luckily he lives 10mins away
this video is me driving the bike for the first time
and bare in mind not driven anything for 12years!

and this one was just a short drive
bare in mind i had tires from 2006-2007 on y bike so didnt feel good in corners at all!

Welcome Hawkins. I think I saw you mention on your other thread of the modifications to your SP1 and what intentions you have for it.
Having had Forged PVM wheels (Which Makis RC51 is in the process of fitting to his bike), I can tell you they are beautiful and not a bad choice, but what I changed to is not as beautiful (from a distance or a casual glance), but better in terms of performance!

Look at the difference in new cost price with PVM and carbon CA5 wheels from Dymag, which are very similar in design to the original HRC magnesium or SP2 wheels. They're super light and very strong. It's the greatest modification I have made on my bike. It steers a lot quicker, making it much easier to adjust a line mid corner, for example.

PDQ in UK usually supplies them at some discount, if you ask nicely.

Enjoy!

Euro RC51 SP2: HRC WSB Ti Hi-Level, T1 Airbox & Snorkel, PCIII, Dymag CA5 Carbon Wheels, Ti64 Spindles (F, R & Swing Arm), Mori Link, Maxton GP7 Shock & Ohlins 832 Forks, Brembo GP Calipers & SBK narrow track (F), Braketech Disc (R), Brembo billet Underslung x 2 Brembo RCS, Tyga Triple, 7075 Stem, Probolt Titanium all over, Babyface rearsets, MR Complete Carbon Lineup, Custom Undertail & CBR 1000 LED, Watsen LED Indicators, Harris Brace, Giles clip-ons, Corbin seat, etc. 2013 BOTY.
