Wibbly is back!

well... not really back, I was never on this forum, but was a heavy user of speedzilla.

I'm sure a lot of you will recognize the user name. I had the colin Edwards Castrol rep all done up and actually parted it out on zilla several years ago.

long story short, I messed up, never should have let the 51 go. so now I'm coming back. I have found and am about to purchase a SUPER CLEAN 05 and will be putting my touch on it. i'll probably start a build thread when the fun starts.

I have a front end that I put together for another bike that will go right on, so it should be a good time.

can't wait to cruise around these boards, hopefully they're a bit more lively than zilla these days.

I may also be looking for some parts, so i'll keep my eye on the classifieds, I'm sure a lot of people here can vouch for me when buying/selling.

cheers all

They are cast magnesium. Just finally got them back from the painter a few weeks back. Most likely put them away and use the BST's though.

That's a nice problem to have. I'll need to source a bst rear wheel for my build. Should be fun... Not

Welcome back, Wibbly. Some years back when you parted your RC51 I bought the clip ons and rear disc from you (BTW - Great though they are - What brand were these clip ons, I'm not sure these days? ).

I remember you went to a brand new KTM 1290 which you modified but didn't get on with it due to mechanical issues, then went to a CBR600 as a reliable bike which you also modified extensively.
Interesting that you've now gone full circle and returned to the RC51. Would be interesting to hear your logic. We see a few people sell their pristine examples then regret it later too.

This forum has slowed a bit in activity compared to a few years ago, but there's a good core group of members that are probably lifetimers one way or another and those that come & go. It's always been more civilised than Zilla. For some reason the troublemakers there don't move over, which is a good thing.
You'll be pleased to hear there's still a lot of parts available, with more now thanks to our resident Carbon perfectionist, the Duck.
