New guy from Iowa. 05 Rc51

Hi everyone, figured i better get the introduction posted tonight so here goes. I live in Iowa and have been on here a few times to read about topics through out the years so figured I would join. I started motorcycle life riding a 2004 r6 and one day rode a friends suzuki tl1000 and I wanted a v twin from that day on. I decided to look for a rc51 and finally found a 2005 at a dealer. I asked them how many miles it had because this was in the spring of 2007 and they said 0 miles still on the showroom floor. I traded in the r6 that weekend because I knew I wouldn't find another one like this. So here I am 8 yrs later still with it and still grinning like it's the 1st day when I ride it. Pretty much still a stock bike, black 05 with 11,300 miles. I did the hot bodies undertail kit and some flushmount front signals that year. Black D & D slip ons a yr or 2 later, then some charcoal jpr shorty brake and clutch levers. Thanks for reading my book of a intro and I look forwards to being a member here.

Do you have any pics of yours wibbly? Yea it's a rare occasion to even see a vtwin sportbike here in Southeast Ia. Most people ask if mines a CBR... so they got the honda part right that's about it. I was laughing reading your post on the thermostat delete topic. My engine hasn't been touched, just oil changes obviously. I love when I'm out cruising around neighborhoods and a parked car starts honking at ya cuz you set the alarm off without trying or knowing it had one. Makes me smile just thinking about it.
