Greetings from NE Indiana and induction question

Just bought an 03 about a month ago, I've wanted one since they came out and thankfully I located a beautiful unmolested specimen. I wanted to see if anyone else is from this area and if people ever meet up? I also wanted to know if anyone can tell me why the small induction tube by the cluster is blocked off?

Congrats on the purchase!
I'm not from Indy, but I can tell you that the blocked off tube is likely for your intake flapper valve. In stock form it lowers noise in a specific RPM range to help the bike pass drive by noise standards. The bike runs better with it defeated, and you can remove the assembly all together if you purchase a block off plate.

Thanks Larry, I will leave it alone then. I figured it was blocked for a good reason.

Greetings! I'm down near Indy now but used to live in Fort Wayne. Did you perhaps pick your RC up in Decatur?

I'm from Decatur and I tried to pick up the one up here but a deal was already made. I figured he was a part of this forum. The one I picked up came from Cincinnati but that owner only had it for about 6 months. He said this bike came from eastern Ohio someplace. It has the woodpecker stickers on it and yosh slip ons but otherwise looks like it just came off the showroom.

thumbs down means it was tested but seriously not recommended due to it not being worth it at all.
