Marker Lights

I'd like to start my first post by saying it is an honor to be a member of such a great club. Purchased my 04' Nicky Hayden edition about 3 months back and wonder why it took me so long to pull the trigger.
I recently received some led marker lights from Watsen and am having some issues getting them connected correctly. The lights and the accompanying resistor are both two wire type whereas the wires out of the bike are three. Had no issues with wiring the rear marker lights but they did not have the white connector that provides constant power to the light. The Watsen lights only require intermittent power or they will over heat. My question is do I have to splice in the white connector into the two wire system? As is, if I connect them without the white connector the light stays on. I have attempted to splice in the white connector but have blown two fuses. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

The solid orange and blue are the blinker wires. The orange and blue with the white tracer are constant power for the running lights.

Connect your signal light positive and one lead of the resistor to the solid orange or blue, then connect the signal light negative and other side of the resistor to the ground in the white connector.

Done

Or better yet forego the resistors and get a flasher relay from tst industries.

Thanks Wibbly. Looked at the relay from TST. Much better way to go. I'll order one today.
Still wire everything as you mentioned before foregoing the resistor?

Yeah. The solid blue and orange are the positives, the green is the negative. Simple as can be.

Don't install the resistors and install the tst relay.
