Hi from Norway

Hi guys (and girls).

39 and 11 months old from Norway, dipping my toes in the RC51 pool. Not yet an owner, but will be in the next weeks hopefully, looking at one tomorrow actually.

Bought my first sport bike in 2003, and sold my last bike (CBR 900RR) in 2008. Had some Suzukis in between. Have always had the RC51 (or VTR 1000 SP1/2 as they are called in Europe) as a bucketlist-bike, and now i feel its time. Maybe it's the 40 year crisis kicking in

Thank you! Indeed i am :P

Even though i am in Norway, the color scheme on this bike is the one you got over in the states, some previous owner swapped everything and painted the rims silver i guess. Going to use the winter to swap it back and paint the rims in correct black

Nice one, congratulations 👍🏼😎

Here in the Netherlands the US color schemes are very rare, only seen them for sale twice (or maybe the same one).

Thank you, they are almost none existant in Norway, i really had to investigate if it was an import from the US before i bought it. Turns out it is a Euro model, looking at the VIN number. First off, it has the letter A, which indicates Euro model, and the Vin-plate is an actual metal plate, and not a sticker, like the US models

Took the bike for the first real ride since i picked it up.

My god, the soundtrack alone is enough to give me goosebums all over! And i love the way it pulls from 5k all the way to 9k no matter what gear i'm in. I'm used to I4 bikes, and this is just another world.

And i adore the look of the machine, the way the exhaust points up along the rear tail fairing. Just an awesome machine!
