$0.00 footpegs/rearset upgrade

so, let's set a ground rules:
1. piggy's rider position is perfect in every possible way
2. the only way you really want to improve your's rearsets is:
a) you have an enormous feet, which makes hard operating stock gear and rear brake levers (matching your enormous genitals, obviously, which follows from riding enormous v-twin);
b) you want 110% feedback from the bike, racing it to the max

since every modern stock 1000cc (or even 750cc) bike will overtake rc51 on a straight, hardcore racing is a myth. just deal with it. and if you are a giant, well, skip this article too

all other riders - this is for you

all you need is a needle file. or hacksaw. or if you are a Chuck Norris - the nails will do just fine

there will be no long explanation. just look at the pictures to get an idea

ok, it's time for a test ride. SWEET MOTHER OF GOD!!! BABY JESUS, THE GRIP ON A PEGS IS OVER 9000!!! now you'll never have your foot slipping off the peg on a bump or an extreme lean angle

this mod was tested both on a track and road. 12 000 km after the alpinestars sm-x+ doesn't look shattered by those edge teeth at all

so, thanks for reading and send me 10% from the money you saved on your new satos, gilleses or moriwakis. just kidding, 15% minimum!

Nope, I'm screwed on that one

But have been thinking about doing this to the Cats pegs, just need to come up with a way to make sure it all stays symmetrical.

I've only seen it posted about once on here and the was done in a personal build thread.

Good on you for checking and posting the thread. Hopefully it will save some members money who don't really need to have aftermarket rearsets.

Just to be clear, I'm too short I needed to move the pegs up and forward, and having more grip on them is always a good idea.

No problem. The first time I had the ball of my foot on the outside of the peg I realized it wasn't going to work. I think I did it about a week after buying the bike at the same time I took the stupid long hero blobs off. I noticed that the later bikes (my 06 CBR1000RR) already have grooves in the end of their pegs.

Hmmmm...we might be thinking of the same build thread

It is a good mod and easy to do 😎

2001 SP1 (sold)
2004 SP2 (properly stored)
2012 Ruckus (stolen)
2015 Grom (under construction)

Weyrauch pronounced (Y Rock)...Rock for short.
