Changed the fork springs

As above, I managed to finally get my finger out and make a fork compressor so that I could change the springs.
When trying to set the sag on the bike, the minimum I could get even with the preload wound full in was 42mm. So I decided that a change of springs and oil was on the cards. First off though I wanted to make a fork compressor as trying to do this with a few mates just pressing down on the spring to get things undone is a recipe for disaster.

Anyway some pics of the compressor

Once the forks were stripped and cleaned, I replaced the springs with Hyperpro progressive springs, changed the oil.

A cheaky pic of the bike once sag had been set and I got the compression and rebound to a level before trying it out on the road.

Yeh, but at a price that I like mate. It cost me $40 for the material to make 2.
Can't believe how easy it makes changing springs or servicing the forks.
