Need help with my Ohlins shock

I think I'm confused about what the adjusters on my rear shock are.

I recorded my numbers when Dave Moss tuned my suspension. The only thing I've changed is what I think is the remote preload. I turned it in one click- from 19 to 18.

So the horizontal black knob on the bottom and the vertical knob on the left side top of the shock are comp. and rebound right? Which is which???

The settings on the rear shock are -bottom knob=9 top=13 and I guess preload is at 18.

Should be compression on the top and rebound on the bottom.

If you have a black knob up top too, you have a 2-way shock, without the separate high and low speed circuits for compression. Small difference from the one's shown in the manuals below. The adjuster is still in the same exact spot.

Owner's manual for the shock, but it is a general manual:

Mounting instructions for the RC51 shock:
http://ohlins.com/Products/MountingI...s/MI_HO204.pdf

General workshop manual for Ohlins shocks:

I'm always right.

Whoaaa! Very cool. Thanks!

It's opposite of the OEM forks. That makes more sense now. compression 9 rebound 13. Seems like a lot of rebound.

Damn, I don't see myself dismantling that shock anytime soon. Not after going thru that shop manual....

B Miller thanks for the shock workshop manual. Do you have one for Ohlins forks too?
