Anyone know if a 2012 cbr 1000rr shock will fit?

I've got a spare 2012 shock that I plan to get rebuilt for my other bike and I'm curious to see if it'll fit my sp1.. Anyone else know what other shocks mount up???

the rc51 shock is 326mm eye to eye. The 2012 CBR 1000 is 302mm.....so no.

326 - 302 = 24 mm ... basically 1 inch. And since you're sitting right on top of the rear shock, it should lower your seat 1 inch.

yes, but you the stroke and travel will be different. Reservoir may not clear and the bushes on top and bottom may not be the same width as the top mount and linkage. Best thing to do is to try and fit it.....i'd be weary. It may fit, but the geometry is going to be way different.

Hmmm.... Might be a game changer lol, and yeah the geometry change would make me a little Leary but it might be worth playing with.
