front fork leaking....

Hey all I did some searching without any luck. I have a question.

so my suspension after buying my RC and riding it a year was messed up. It rode pretty rough so I figured I would put all the settings back to stock.

the right front fork pre-load was set at 7 full turns (6 stock)
the left was 9

the compression at the bottom was 9 right and 15 on left.

not sure why the difference maybe racing etc idk.

anyway when adjusting I loosened the right side fork cap 2 turns then realized what I was doing to tightened it back up. then adjusted all settings on front and rear suspension to stock.

after I came out from the gym I noticed fork oil all over the the place coming from the right side when sitting on the bike. So I loaded it on a trailer and went to the dealer. The dealer is telling me that the fork seals are fine but an o ring in the button of the fork is leaking. They are going to take both forks out fix the leak and then redo the oils etc in both and fix it up.

can these forks leak from the bottom or anywhere else besides the fork seals if not damaged?

any insight would be great

yes ....the forks have a banjo kind of bolt that goes in the bottom of the forks to fix the cartridge to the foot can only be seen when you take the spindle from the forks and look up ...i think they have an o ring on them which has probably been damaged
