Radial conversion questions

2 questions for you guys:

Do I need the 5mm spacers I bought or does the spacing on the caliper look ok?

Options on brake lines? I'm thinking get a set one inch shorter with 45 or 60 degree banjo fittings. Opinions?

Thanks

The caliper is spaced too far out and will be incompatible with those brackets. You can clearly see the pads aren't even contacting the inner part of the face of the rotor.

You'll have to get a different set of calipers or machine those ones

My opinion is that regardless of the spacing issue those radial mount calipers you have there are inferior to the axial mount OEM RC51 calipers.

When are you guys going to learn that just because something is different that does not automatically mean it is better...

I know theyre inferior to OEM, OEM are damn good...my favorite on any bike or car I've owned. I'll switch back to OEM for the track and have the radial set up for the street. Just fulfilling my bucket list for the RC.

None of the mods make any sense, but I love my Ohlins, Marchesini's and SATO Banzai's. It's a great bike stock but most of us like to ruin perfectly good things. Like my race bypass pipes on my old 911 Turbo, I loved hearing the turbo's spool but they were LOUD. My new 911 has the stock sport exhaust.

I'd like to disagree with that heavily. All though neon glow lights would qualify as not making any sense and ruining a good thing. I wouldn't put Ohlins, Marchesini's and Sato's on that same list.

Adding superior brakes to your bike and using them all the time makes damn good sense. Not to mention fulfills the bling quota as well .

Put some of these on, they're a little better than standard.
