dust caps

Annyone knows if its expensive to replace the dirt/dust caps on the front suspension?

The caps (dust seal) that protects the oil seal from dirt, are not expensive.
The procedure though is full fork disassemble so it is best to replace the oil too.
Same thing like changing the oil seals.

I phoned the lms and they told me it an 2/ 2.5 hour job at 77euro per hour and only 12 euro per seal....lol they can wait..

It isn't too hard, but requires some specific tools. I did a writeup over on speedzilla that I've been meaning to copy over here: http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/hon...placement.html

I wouldn't complain too much about the cost. The tools to do it yourself will cost nearly what the shop charges for labor. Don't forget the main benifit of using a shop is that if they screw it up, you can always take it back. I don't have much faith in shops though and do all my own work.

Wauw... thats a real nice job on that report. Makes me sure i will never going to do it myzelf, dont have the right space or tools.
