HELP...Bike wont start

i was out on the RC a week ago for over 200mls of pure bliss and grinning and it ran like a peach with no hickups.

came to start the bike this morning and it will refuse to start. it turns over fine, so it is trying to start, then the battery slowly starts to drain as expected, put it on a full charge again and tried it again a few hours ago, same result.

symptoms 1: a few days ago i did notice a tiny pool of yellow liquid under the bike right in the centre space between the 2 wheels. maybe 2 tablespoons worth.

symptom 2: (ill prob sound like a bit of an idiot trying to explain this, but here goes) usually when you turn on the ignition, b4 pushing the starter, the rev counter does its little fancy light display and you normally hear a 2 second mechanical noise (like something opening or moving). well its not making that noise anymore when the ignition is turned on, or at any point. battery is fine and theres plenty of fuel.

HELP THE POLARBEAR

That sound.... is the fuel pump priming noise...... it is not doing that anymore from the sounds of it, so I would start with that. Check your fuses 1st. Then check you fuel pressure regulator. Or take it to you mechanic friend as he will know how to test it for the issue.

Are you sure that the emergency stop/run switch is in the correct position?

Many motorcyclists have overlooked this very simple item - can we rule that out first?

anyway, took all the fuses out and checked them, they look fine. put them back and still nothing. and now ive lost my daylight.

when i turn on the ignition then switch on the kill switch to disable start up. ive noticed that when i switch it to the on position again the FI light flashes for a second

Look at the pgm fi fuse on the battery cover. It often gets unhooked when lifting the cover too.

Also check all your connectors on the left side close to rear of tank. Some times they can get unhooked or they will need to be cleaned with contact cleaner and re apply dielectric grease.
Check it all..... Mine stop working because the tank had wore through the wire harness where it goes under the rear of the tank.... Had to open the harness find the break in the FI wire and resolder it together.
Check on this as well as the tank may have been re installed with the harness incorrectly placed.
