Angry Start problem ????

Ok I'm finishing up all my winter projects. I replaced the voltage regulator, fuel pressure reg and changed the plugs. Also added fan switch for the summer. I decided to start it before all the fairings go on in case there was some issue. Well the issue is it won't start. The fuel pump primes no FI light. I made sure the kill switch is on. Acts like no spark maybe. I think i get a whiff of gas after cranking it. Even though the battery has been on a tender it seem a little slow. But no more than I remember. Any thoughts or ideas???

Are you sure you have spark and fuel in each cylinder?

Check again for those two elements to make sure they exist in the equation

I replaced the battery this afternoon as it was way down on power despite being on a tender. I also picked up a spark tester so I can check that tomorrow. I do smell fuel when I try to crank it. It also doesn't even offer to start at all so my instinct is that there is a spark issue. I douple checked all my wiring to the Shindengen MOSFET and it is exactly as described here https://www.rc51forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6540. I also checked all the fuses. I know the fuel pump is priming. I'll post up tomorrow if i confirm fuel or spark issue.

As far as the MOSFET R/R it doesn't have to do anything with starting the bike up.
It's job is to charge the battery.
Did you check your Fuel Pressure Regulator if it is ok?
If not, it will leak fuel into the cylinder through the vacuum nozzle the small hose attaches to. Pulling that off the nozzle should not leak fuel from it....

Of course since I tried to start this has been driving me crazy. I figure it had to be something I changed since it ran perfectly before i brought it in the shop. I had the same thought about the regulator, it should not effect the start. So, last night I'm thinking could I have someway mixed up the return and vacuum lines on the new FPR. Naah, but I'll look anyway. They are correct, besides it would be kind of obvious if I had tried. So I'm sitting there looking at it and on impulse pulled off the vacuum line. Low and behold, gas runs out. SON OF A B>>>>> !!! I installed a brand new DEFECTIVE regulator right out of the box. So now, pull the tank, order another FPR and try again. And yes, I already trashed the working FPR I took off thinking why would I ever want to reuse it? Oh well, at least it is raining and cold here. And I get to work on here some more.

Makis, you were exactly on track my friend. I just didn't expect a new part to be the culprit.
