Clutch fluid dripping from lever

Is this a common problem. I just bought my first RC and didn't know if it happens to everyone. My bike is an 05 with 18,000 miles and I'm curious because I feel that fluid is leaking from around the piston at the lever. Hopefully it's an O-ring and nothing more. Was hoping you guys could shed some light before I take it off.

My 06 with 20k has never dripped a drop!

Id say your master cylinder has a bad seal around the plunger.

Item #3 is the kit that has all the piston and seal parts for the SP2 clutch master cylinder.
