O-Ring / Gasket replacement for Relief Valve and Oil Strainer

So, I dropped the oil pan to perform a complete cleaning. Pulled the Relief Valve and Oil Strainer to give them a good kerosene cleaning. O-Ring/Gasket looked fine. The shop manual says to "replace". I put them back in without replacing. Is this going to be a problem?? They went back in just fine. I'm afraid they are going to drop out though. Should I pull the pan back off and replace the O-Ring/Gasket??

Oh yea, this is a 2000 RC51

Probably will be ok.
Replace if you feel the o-ring has become stiff from age/heat or damaged.

Hmm...coin flip here. Maybe redo this when the snow flies? I would have changed them just for piece of mind.

I know what your thinking too... "Thank you Mr. Hind-sight!"

i don't think it will be an issue.

I usually replace that worn stuff when i can though. It is 13 years old and might as well do it when you have the opportunity.

Well heck, if you haven't even put in fresh oil, just put new stuff in there and don't give it a second thought.
