Have you pulled the clutch basket to inspect the needle bearing and the clutch guide (the matching needle bearing rolling surface) for wear or damage?
Also, how are the condition of the drive gears for the clutch basket?
If the disks are blued and the friction disks glazed, you should replace those.
Do the fingers on the basket show deep wear grooves?
Was this bike tracked or raced?
