Question Stator cover leaking oil

Well my RC has developed a problem. The Stator cover is leaking oil next to wire the wires go in and about 2" to the side of it.The bike heats up and you rev the engine and she starts leaking pretty good. Should the stator cover actually have oil in it? I ordered a new gasket and was going to replace it but was wondering if should even have oil in it?

Yes it should. The stator and the flywheel are dipped in engine oil while the engine is running.

Replacing the gasket should fix the problem.

Just remove the old one very very well off from both the cover's and the crankcase's surfaces and soak the new one in engine oil before placing it on and you should be good to go.

Worked great I did use a little sealant between the case and wire grommets.
