Steering stem removal.....

Let me come out first and say that this is not about removing or installing new steering head bearings, just to be clear.
I would like some help, info, and/or guidance on how-to remove the OEM steering stem from a SP-2 triple tree.
My light attempt to search online only accomplished to find a plethora of bearing race installs.
Anyone have experience with this procedure?

You mean like this?

After a while, with the triple too hot enough, all it takes is a couple of hits with a mallet and out the pivot goes...

You will need to machine it out.
Stig can get you all the details or you can throw Pete at Ti64 an email on getting some info on it.
I am sure he would be happy to explain it to you... he is a superb guy and is very knowledgable.

Pete machined mine out as (a). he didn't want to risk any damage to the lower triple & (b) because he has all the equipment there to do this. Not something you'd want to try at home!

Duck, what's happenin' Is this a party? Greetings all.
