Need help,OEM clip-ons

I would like to replace the OEM clip-ons, with them not being a two piece clamp, it looks like I will have to slide the forks from triple tree and slide old ones off ? With two arthritic hips one more inch of rise would be wonderful.

No damper yet, I'm hoping to borrow a socket from the auto store they have a tool loaner program, if not it may be a fair amount coinage to purchase. Thanks all.

It's a good socket to own, if not just because it's a badass looking piece in your toolbox.
