gas tank lock.....

I know this is a dumb issue....and a dumb question....but has anyone had their gas tank lock seize up? Last time I put gas in, it was fine....now...i cannot get it to unlock....(gas cap)..........and I'm too scared to put pressure on it....in fear of breaking my only key to the ignition....anyone had this?
thanks,
Jarrod

Have you tried to push the cap downwards while trying to turn the key?

Pour some WD40 in the slot first. It helps a lot.

Take off the cap and put it inside a container filled with fresh brake fluid over night.

If the glitch was caused from corrosion you'll eliminate any chance of happening again in the near future.
However, if the pins in the lock are worn off, you better change that lock cause next time you'll may have to drill your way into the tank

Will do. I definitely don't wanna be in that position again....I've been riding Honda's for 10 years and that's the first time I've had that problem. thanks again.
