Some kind of wiring or battery problem??

OK first off i do not have a power commander and the battery is not that old but its not brand new either. When i ride for a long time say hour and a half then cut the bike off to get gas or to rest the bike will not turn over. turn the key and its like the battery is dead. i push start it and drive home, cut bike off and try to start it again and she fires right up. This has happened to me twice. I should say that the first time the bike was hot, riding in the city with slow traffic. The second I was on the freeway about 15 after leaving the city and pulled off to get gas. The next morning she fired right up like nothing wrong.
I thought it might be a dead cell in the battery that hits once in a while or maybe something getting to hot and shorting out?

First, check your battery cables and all the grounds on the bike, make sure they are tight and free of corrosion.

+1 Start with the basics. We see this quite a bit on here and it is normally a ground connection that has worked itself loose.

checked the grounds amd all were tight. The positive was alittle loose but not much. Going to take the battery to get it checked out.
