When you try to start it, does turn over slowly or not at all?
What is the current charge level before attempting to start the engine?
A good battery charge level should be 13-13.5V, low battery is 12-12.5V, dead battery less than 12V.
If the battery maintains a good charge level overnight while not on the charger, and still fails to start the engine, it may be a failing starter relay.
This what happened to me a few months ago on my FZ1.
Also check that your battery cables are not loose or corroded, which will reduce battery charging or starting current.
Had a hot battery, but with sporadic to no starter activity. Replaced the starter relay and works fine now.
Since bikes are exposed to environmental effects of rain and humidity more than cars, they tend to develop electrical problems due to contact corrosion over time.
I hardily recommend buying a tube of dielectric grease and applying a dab to any and all electrical contacts.
By doing this, you greatly reduce or eliminate most electrical gremlins.
