Mount LIPO battery down low?

I read a story (damnit I lost it) of a guy who relocated his battery somewhere down low, I was thinking It would make sense to buy a 8-10 cell lipo and mount it down low, It would produce weight savings as well as lower the center of gravity too.

Anyone done this or have any thoughts?

...or you can just replace the heavy factory battery with something really lightweight (like a Shorai) and be done with it.

I like duckhunters work, very crafty and convenient. But those shorai's are so light I honestly didnt think it was going to crank the bike.. But it works great

Yes, it has done the job well for me too. Even without much riding.

The relocate trays fit the Ballistic lightweight 8 cells perfectly.
