2000 RC FI light staying on

Starts right up runs and rides good. Little power loss. Checked all connections. Everything looks good and clean. No power commander. The bike was dropped by previous owner about a month ago. Not sure if the light was on before then. Light flashes nine times. How can I clear codes. Make sure it's not an old fault that was never cleared. Also the previous owner had HIDs installed and two bros exhaust. Other than that fairly stock. Thanks guys.

9 is the IAT.
That's the sensor on the airbox lid. I suppose you'd get that fault anytime you ever happened to run the engine without the lid or airbox on.
The ECU will assign an acceptable level of tolerance when the IAT actually fails, or can't send a proper signal. So your bike will keep running. Good chance it's a past code.

Is the service port by the battery? Green? Can't find it. I have 2 2000 RCs and can't find the service port on either. Is it just a plugged connector or is it connected in the harness? Thanks.

I kept my service connector in the trunk area just on the left inside of the subframe.

It's not green like the SP2. It's clear on the SP1.

It comes out of the harness just in front of the orange and blue turn signal connectors.

It won't have anything plugged into it, it just hangs there. I think originally mine was in the battery area, under the seat. I remember moving it back to the trunk area so I wouldn't have to undo my seat to get to it.

That's a good idea, I'm going to move mine too since I have mine apart.

Here's another pic before I removed my SP1 subframe. The service connector is circled in red.

A small black box was connected to that service port. I unplugged it, fired it up and the FI Light was gone. Maybe some horrible attempt at a programmer? A resistor of some sort? No markings on it at all. No USB port. Just male and female connectors that are green that look like and fit into the service port. Wth?

What's up guys I'm new to this site and I love it so far..I just recently bought 2001 rc51 and my fi light is always on..but I've noticed when I give full gas on 3rd or 4th gear for a split second the bike gives out like someone just flick a shut off switch real quick..does anybody know what could cause it?
