Sp1 1st gear hesitation

Feels like a sputter and hesitation. Only in first though. Put new stock New plugs in it. Any ideas? I picked this bike up about 3 months ago and I've only ridden around my neighborhood a few times. Now I finally put an exhaust on and now I can ride it a little harder because the last exhaust was crunched. Ever since I've ridden it it's done this. No power commander, stock air filters, battery is good. Like I said it's only in first. No FI light on. Could it be a plug wire? If it was though wouldn't it ride like this in all gears? I know I should get a pc3 and dyno it but can't do any of that anytime soon. Thanks guys.

You know, without a PC3 to help smooth out the throttle, anything under 3000 rpm's can be pretty snatchy when getting the bike rolling from a stop.
How high are you revving as you begin to release the clutch lever?
I'm not suggesting you should do a power-dump, just stating that these bike don't have the smoothest throttle at low rpms.

Different exhaust, SP1 and no PC is probably the reason why this is happening...

Drained fuel. Put fresh gas and a little seafoam. Not sure how I feel about seafoam but seems better. I got it up to temp. Let the fans kick on then took her for a ride. Opened her up a little. Feels better. I'm guessing a new fuel pump filter will be in her near future. I normally give a little more throttle during take off. I rev it up and slowly release the clutch. I they and keep the Rpms around 3500 or higher when riding. She doesn't like going below that too much. Thanks for the help. I'll keep you posted if I pull the pump or have more issues.

If a little seafoam made a difference, try a whole can of Berrymans. It's cheap.
