Trip meter resetting
Well my 'snagging' continues with my new bike . My 'trip meter' loses its mileage every time ignition is turned off which is not good with no petrol guage. So it was time to investigate. Long story short but turns out it was corroded/broken pin in the big grey connector on front left side. Red/Green wire. So bodged wires together, turned ignition on, span wheel seemed like forever to register 0.1 mile. Ignition off, back on and hey presto it's worked. Now just got to make a proper connection and its humpty dumpy time. Thought i'd share the fix if anyone else has the same issue.

Ditto nice catch. I wonder if that connector is a potential trouble spot, looks like corrosion maybe from water intrusion, silicon grease may help.

mine does the same thing, but as I fill up every other day or so that I'm bumping around town, it hasn't bothered me too much.
