Question Rear seat cowl too straight !

Hi guys!
I'm a new RC51 owner from Johannesburg, South Africa. Its a 2000 SP1 with a custom paintjob thats a bit rough around the edges and needs some TLC.
One problem I have is the rear seat cowl is too straight and doesn't follow the same curve as the piece it fits into so it sticks out - see pic. I'm not too sure how to fix it. Anyone else have this problem ? Or any ideas for me ?
Many thanks,
Dean.

Check the underside to make sure it's genuine. With the Chinese aftermarket plastics flooding the market, it is not unusual to see body panels with firmest issues.

Good idea. But when I checked they're genuine honda parts - both the cover and the boxy thing that screws under into that locks it down.

That sure doesn't seem like a Honda OEM cover. Here's what mine looked like:

oh that looks MUCH better. I like the white & silver together BTW - very nice.
I think I'm gonna have to take it to my panelbeater and ask his advice - I want him to ask him about some of the area where the paint is a bit orange-peely as well...

the paint on the tail is not OEM, it might not be original Honda
