Dip Switches / Yellow Box

I recently added an RC51 SP-1 to my motorcycle collection. I have been going over everything and getting adjusted to owning this bike; just doing preventative maintenance, replacing fluids, etc. So far, I love the bike... coolest looking and sounding vehicle I have ever owned. Anyway, it has the two-into-one exhaust, with PCIII added to it by original owner. Mounted on top of the PCIII is a small yellow box with no markings on it. It has a series of dip switches on it with a single connector plugged into it. When the bike is running, I can see a red led flashing periodically through the yellow plastic housing. Any idea what this piece of equipment might be? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Thanks, KoleDeRacer! Looks like you nailed it. After you pointed me in the right direction, I did a search on dip switch speedo healer and stumbled onto a thread on a Kawasaki Forum where a guy posed a similar question. One response pointed to: "Bluegauges.com - Yellow Box Speedometer Correction" where I found a manual for setting it up and it looks exactly like the one I have.

Thank you again for the help!

I also have what I was told was a speedo healer. It is a black box with no external switches. I opened it up and it has a bank of nine dip switches in side. I cannot find anything that looks like it. Any info would help. Also I for some reason cannot upload photos. I cannot get this site to appear on my phone the way it first did when I signed up for the site and now no matter what I do I cannot find an option to upload pics

One way to be sure is to check if the speedo sensor cable at the rear of the engine is connected to the box. If so, it could be an older version speedo healer to similar.
The speedo healer alters the sensor output pulses to correct differences with different final gearing or tire height sizes.

Thanx for the reply and the pic. No worries about the refund add the solo cover is worth our agreed price as it matches my tail fairing perfectly. No painting or stickers needed. Just looking for some info on the healer before I hook it up and start flipping switches. Subsailor the unit is not on my bike I got it to put on my bike thanx again though.
