Top gear on cam drive cassette has movement?

Hi all
I'm busy doing the clearances on my 2000 SP1, and now that I have the cams out I can feel that the top gear on the cam drive cassette has slight movement from side to side. There is no movement up and down. There are no abnormal wear patterns on the gears and the engine sounds and runs smooth. Both cylinders are the same so I'm guessing this is normal, just want to check if anyone else has noticed this when their camshafts are out??

There's a little clearance on thrust faces of the cams, but nothing to worry about.
