Sp1 vs Sp2 Calipers??

Ive seen a few folk on here talking about their "SP2 Calipers" I didnt know there was a diff between the 1&2 calipers.

Is there?

ive got some sp2 calipers up for grabs if anyone wants, dansp1 is spot on. The piston sizes differ.


2003 SP2: Everything I could find.
1991 Honda HawkGT
2008 XR650L
Dec. 2011&2013, Sep. 2015, May 2019 BOTM

I prefer the SP1 calipers myself, but both models are still the best performing axial mount OEM calipers ever made and in fact are better than most current radial mount OEM calipers

specifically the sp1 calipers or the combination of the bigger piston calipers with the 19mm bore master?

sp2 is 17mm master i think, cbr600 uses the sp1 spec caliper with 5/8 bore master
