Sprocket & Chain length

I have the 2000 model SP-1 which comes with a 104 link chain. I ordered a chain and sprocket set changing stock gearing from 16/40 to 16/42 and I believe they upped the chain length to 106 links. Will the rear wheel sitting deeper on the swing arm cause issues?

Thanks

If your new chain has been lengthened by a couple of links, then it will compensate for your larger sprocket. So your wheel should sit close to where it was at when it was 16/40.

I need to run 106 links on my SP1.
15/42 and a tall tire - 190/55 or 200/55 - was a little too much for 104 links.

You run a 200/55 tire? Do you have to change the rear wheel for that or can you use the stock wheel?

The stock rim is 6 inches wide, so it works perfectly for a 190 or 200 series.

Thank you all as that was the information I was looking for plus the tire information is a bonus.
