Power Commander 3r question

The SP2 I bought has a PC3r (serial data port).

The previous owner said he had it "tuned" but couldn't elaborate on whether it was Dyno tuned, nor who tuned it.

So what I'm wondering is should I download a map myself or take it to a Dyno shop?

None of the tuners in town will work with the 3r as it's too old. So taking it to a shop would also require upgrading to a PCV.

I'm just a nice weather sunday rider, not getting too crazy.

Bike is pretty stock, Sato banzai, flapper and pair removed.

If you can't find someone able to tune it on a dyno I'd just leave it. If you know anything about carb tuning n, you can do adjustments with the buttons , but again , I wouldn't bother if you don't have any problems. None of the other Power Commanders control ignition timing also , so I would waste money on a different model. Even the base timing map is better than stock.
