Read vs Un-read posts ?

I'm a member of several forums, and this is the only one I have this trouble with: If I log in on my computer at home, read every bolded thread in the New Posts ... then go to work and log in there, the posts I read earlier are shown in bold as new. I also log in from a 3rd computer, a laptop at home, and that shows me those same posts yet again as being new, even when I've viewed them on two others computers (I do have only one username)

Is there a setting I need to change?

Stop surfing the net at work (says the guy typing this at work).

Mine does the same thing sometimes.

I'm always right.

I'm with extra here

Reading a thread should be stored in ones account if possible.
Not just on a cookie that doesn't exist when you log in from a different terminal.
Nevertheless I have huge respect on the work that the crew does so that we can nest in this magnificent web corner

Wonder how the other forums I visit do it. I don't notice them being slow. (I can PM them to you if desired). Oh well, thought I'd ask.
