I didn't see a minimum post requirement for the for sale section but if I've missed one let me know. I've been a lurker here for the past two years while I've enjoyed the RC.
I've had my RC51 on craigslist for a few weeks but neglected to throw it up here. It currently has just over 28,000 miles. While she's no virgin, she's very clean.
Here's a quick copy/past from my CL add. Thanks for looking.
2000 Honda RC51
CRG brake/clutch levers
Puig wind screen (Light tint)
Watsen Design flush mount turn signals
Hot Bodies undertail/fender eliminator
Laminx yellow high beam cover (easily removed)
Two Brothers Racing round aluminum slip on exhaust
Not showroom condition but as the pics demonstrate it's a clean bike.
The previous owner sold it to me with a leaking fuel tank (a fairly common issue on the RC51). I have replaced the fuel tank with a brand new unit from Honda.
Simply one of the best sounding motorcycles ever produced. V-twin + gear driven cams + exhaust = heaven!
Sure she's not the newest, lightest piece of machinery, but she's buttery smooth in every way with a sound that will have you leaving the ear plugs at home and twisting the throttle at every chance. Japanese reliability AND character. We all remember them and think - "oh yeah. . ..those were very cool bikes." Yes. . .yes they still are.
