Mint 2003 SP2 8840mi

Posting this again since original was in the wrong section. Mod can delete that one.

Long time lurker here. I believe it's time to part with my beloved RC51. I don't ride much, and with a baby on the way, that trend will only continue. So here's hoping it goes to a good home.

Really mint condition. Brand new tires. Just had the forks rebuilt last year. New tail section supplied by the dealership when they broke a tab off the old one.

Aftermarket undertail, grips, upholstered seat, PCIII, Micron pipes, Shorai lightweight battery. I'm the second owner and I even have the original dealer tags and manual.

Price Drop Update: Asking $6000. Located in NJ about half hour outside of NYC.

Bumping this with a startup video I took.

I'm surprised at the lack of interest and comments. Is my price unreasonable?

"Unreasonable" is subjective. IMO you're asking price is steep but I understand starting high. Guys on the forums know what these bikes are worth and you have to understand that most on this forum already have a RC51 of their own. They need a "one of a kind" or a really good deal to show interest.

Get in line. Mine has been for sale many places it is A1 even though it has 20,200 miles. look for my thread. Good luck at the $6,500 number, I was offered $3,500 turned it down and now I wish I would have sold. I am about 50 miles from you so it is not a geographic issue.

Garage
I paid 6k for my 2006 last week. Detroit area. It's not out of the question. Mine has 8300 miles. Sato exhaust. Crg levers. A bunch of other extras. Not a scratch on the whole bike. Still has the warning labels all over from the factory. Looks like it has 0 miles on it. Just have to wait for the right interested person. Guy I bought mine from had his for sale for almost 2 years.

Yep, the RC would have to be a 05 or 06 and have very low mileage, nice exhaust, pc, and other tasteful mods for me to pay 6k. That's max imo

Well, then it looks like the right move for me is PRICE DROP. Updated the original post.
