Very Rare 2001RC51

Very rare & collectible bike, serial number 5. This is the 5th 2001 RC51 , made & the 1st one sold retail in the U.S. 2001 was the most popular year for the RC51, because Colin Edwards had just won the 2000 World Superbike Championship in Europe, finally beating the factory Ducati's. This bike is in new condition, & has never been dropped. It has been brought up to SP2 specs, with flapper valve mod, european turn signals, Jardine carbon fiber exhausts, new Q2 Dunlops, softer rear Eibach spring for better ride & handling, with only 9,800 miles. Eat up Ducati's in the canyons or park it in the garage for your retirement. Bob (818)414-4836 $8,900 or best offer

even if it is "legit"

a serial number doesn't make a 3500 dollar bike worth 9 grand, unless it's #1 and the bike is 100% pristine and untouched. the "brought up to sp2 specs", followed by a list of things that have nothing to do with the sp2 reduces its value if anything, as it removes it from the collectables market completely.

Dr. Bob actually and he's a little delusional probably from flying at high altitudes with no oxygen for extended periods.

WoW! Tough crowd!

Bob, there's more knowledge in this forum about the RC51 than just about anywhere else you can find.
The previous comments are in line with reality.
btw, nothing you listed is a SP2 spec.
You won't get much love for carbon Jardines, and Q2's are bound to be at least 3 or 4 years old. What's the date stamp on them?

In my region, realistic street value on the bike you describe is about 3500 on a good day.

Get in line! I call dibs & I'm offering full asking ... You're gonna have to go higher if you want it.

Let the bidding begin!

(I'll delete this one too if OP turns out to be legit ... meantime this is kinda entertaining)

He's legit... He's a pilot from socal and typical of both being a pilot and living down there he thinks everything he has or anything he says is worth about 3 times as much as it really is
