Selling my '03.

Up for sale is my 2003 RC51. I don’t have the time to ride it, and would rather it goes to a new home as opposed to sitting in my garage. Bike has 22k miles on it, which is on the lower side compared to other RC’s Ive seen listed. Bike is really clean. With tasteful, functional upgrades. It has not been hammered or ripped apart by other people. One of the nicer examples I’ve seen recently. The gear driven cams in this sound absolutely amazing. Bike is a blast to ride. I was a Ducati guy before this, and this sounds as good, if not better in some ways. I’ve never laid the bike down, nor has it seen the track. I’m listing the bike at $5,499 obo. I know it’s a little higher than some other RC’s out there, but its worth every penny. Literally turn the key and ride away. Season is here! Clear NJ title, bike is ready to go home with you
New parts:
-New battery. OEM battery, OEM location. With hard wired tender pigtails.
-New fuel pump (Quantum Fuel Systems)
-New wheel bearings. OEM
-Motul 300V oil (end of last season)
-New Q3’s. Tires might have 500 miles on them. They are date stamped accordingly (see pics)
-The biggest investment- the forks have been completely rebuilt. Last season. Everything is new. Everything is Honda OEM (aside from the springs). New stanchions and legs. This was a massive expense. Washington Cycle Works did the work and can happily verify. I use Ron for everything I need. If you are from my area, you know WCW’s reputation for quality work- they are the suspension shop to use without a doubt. Some shitshow in Delaware had the bike first ( When it was still the PO's), and tried to cross hatch the stanchions to take the scratching out so the seals would seal.... I didnt know any of this until I brought the bike home.

Here is a list of add-ons it has:

-Racetec springs. (Sprung for 200lbs without gear)
-520 conversion
-Leo Vince slip-ons. They are slightly shortened and sound amazing.
-Aftermarket rear-sets. Currently set up GP shift, but can be switched back.
-Wheels are powdercoated gloss black by Blast Lab in NNJ.
-Brembo 19x18 master cylinder
-Braided lines- front brakes, rear brakes, clutch
-Quick turn throttle
-Duck Hunter Carbon (DHC) air tray style airbox
-DHC air inlet
-DHC undertail
-DHC battery relocator. (Again, I put the OEM style battery back in its OEM location. But the extended battery cable is still on the bike, looped and ziptied). If you want, put a lithium battery in the relocator
-Carbon fiber case guards (unsure of make)
-Carbon fiber radiator fins
-R&G frame sliders
-Powercommander PCV
-Mirror blockoffs with built in go-pro mount

Spare Parts:
-Passenger seat
-OEM mirrors
-OEM airbox
-K&N filter for OEM airbox
-Spare fuel pump. Quantum accidentally sent me 2.

Serious inquiries only. No test rides unless cash in hand (the full asking price). Get in touch with me for any questions you have that I have not answered. Thank you for looking.
Please feel free to text me as well. 908-884-3407.

I gotta get me one of those DHC Carbon under tails. Pardon my ignorance, but what is with the zip ties on the fork tubes?

Nice Old Harley you got there! Mind if I kick it over?

The zip tie allows you to monitor your fork travel as the forks compress it pushes the zip tie down the tube. You can then see how much travel you are using and how close you are to bottoming out the fork.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to give that a try, on the next ride.

The zip tie should end up towards the bottom of the stanchion. Close to bottomed out is fine. Just not bottomed out, or too far away from bottomed out. Those are bad places to end up
Based on a trackday/AM racer... but it will give you a good general idea
