2003 RC-51 (Texas Salvage Title) $2,500
I'm In San Antonio, TX and selling my 2003 RC-51 with Texas Salvage Title for $2,500.
It was sold by the Bexar County Sheriff's department at auction in April 2017, so I can't give you any history prior to my purchase & rebuild.
I've been running it at track days 3-4 times a year, and have put about 2K miles on it. I haven't had any problems with it at the track, and I haven't dropped it since owning it. The odometer currently reads 40K, but I'm unsure if those are original miles or if the cluster was previously replaced.
I traded for the beat up OEM fairings since I wasn't about to drop another $2-3k on a set.
This is not a complete list of parts replaced, just the things I can remember.
Brake pads, clip-ons, grips, levers, bar end weights, clutch master cylinder & reservoir, front brake master cylinder & reservoir, rear brake master cylinder & reservoir, ignition cylinder, gas cap, rear brake cylinder, chain, spark plugs, air filters, crankcase cover, right side engine case cover, rear sets, shift linkage, pilot seat, passenger seat, passenger pegs, solo cowl, blinkers, mirrors, left side radiator fan, coolant overflow tank, side stand kill switch, upper fairing stay, battery, & windscreen.
The forks & rear shock were rebuilt in September 2017 by 812 Suspension Design out of Austin, TX.
With a full value sale, I'll add the spare gas tank (never got around to swapping it), and a set of stands.
Recovering from riding is taking longer than before & it's much more painful now. The VA docs are recommending spinal surgery & I'll also need my knees replaced.
