So will I have fitment issues with a new chain running a 190/55?
My is at the end of its life cycle. I would hate to buy new tires and chain and sprockets and they not fit

You may need to add 1 link over stock length:
SP2 = 106 links
SP1 = 104 links

I had to increase my chain to 106 on my SP1 to keep the 190/55 from being too close to the swinger. When you combine the taller tire with a bigger rear sprocket -which is 42 tooth in my case- you can run out of room with the stock length chain.
Buy a chain that's not precut. DID usually gives you 120 links to work with - so just cut to fit.

extrapolator I had a 190/55 on mine and thought it looked too chunky on the RC. I don't race or really even ride aggressively, so I went back to the 190/50 ... when I found a nail in the 190/55 with less than 100 miles on it

Form Follows Function ... certainly ... but the 190/50 Functions Fine For me

Luckyadam12 I think I'll try the 190/55 anyway...

Luckyadam12 Your swingarm is rounded on the SP2. The SP1 is squared.
I think you guys have a little more clearance.

I've ran a 190/55 with 16/42 with stock chain, and it all cleared on my SP2
