|budoka||I got lucky is all, the cop rode a Katana at the time, was more interested in seeing my Interceptor up close I think. Wouldn't happen today I can tell you that for sure.|

One of our local RCMP members rides a 954, we talk lots at the dealership when he comes in, real solid dood. doubt he'd cut me any slack in uniform though, it's his job. We haven't ridden together, but I'll offer him the chance one of these days. Be interesting to see how he runs.
I got pulled over on the Interceptor many years ago, going waaaaay over the century mark. Handed the cop my papers when he walked up and he brushed them away "What the hell you call that?" he asked. I replied "um, f***ing stupid?" He just about wet himself laughing "Never had that response before! Have a nice day" I asked why he didn't want to ticket me, he said that if he wrote me up I was going for a nice ride in the car to a quiet room with bars on it (unreasonable rate of speed, possibly dangerous driving; $1000 and 7 demerits). All tickets were verified by his NCO at the end of shift for accuracy on the radar memory. Zero tollerance and no exceptions. Unwrittens left no paper trail so I was ok, he'd wipe the reading out.
Pretty boring spending the rest of the afternoon right around the posted limit, but my wallet and license points appreciated it.

|Tommysixgun||Thanks for the advice madddbuyer I used it and I ended up with no points and I paid $190 I could not believe it, it also helped the judge saw my work shirt and asked how my boss was doing! it was crazy every person that he sentenced he asked them "so how much money did you bring today"|

Hey, I know this thread is about speeding tickets and of course it will pull in some stories, but like my divorce attorney once said, "Everybody hates lawyers, till you need one; then they're your best friend".
It's that way with cops too. When I've needed a cop, yeah, when they arrived they were my best friend. Just don't want to lump ALL cops into the stereotype. We have some here on our forum.

|KYNicky51||The Pork around here in Washington are pretty brutal towards sportbike riders. Lots of profiling. I have noticed though I get pulled over exponetially less on the RC51 than I did on my cbr. While riding on the RC I have had a cop pull up beside me on the highway put his window down to listen to the bike, nod his head and give me a thumbs up and drive on past me. Also if you live in a military town the bacon are out in force around the 1st and the 15th of every month...payday.|
