TastefullyDone Any way to tell if the tail is a Hotbodies race or if its Sharkskinz race that fits with the oem seat, or anything else?

b.miller123 I'm pretty sure the owner of that bike is on speedzilla or here. The tail is a race tail section, and judging by the lack of headlights, turn signals or license plate, I would say there isn't a brake like either. It does look like there is a hole underneath the tail, near the back. I doubt it is for a light though.

There was one undertail that I have seen that had round lights set back into it. I don't know the brand, but it probably isn't made any longer. I think someone on here has it, but I can't remember who.

Led's look cool and all, but when not done properly (like most undertails now days) they are pretty useless. Sure you can see them turn on if you are staring directly at them, but brake lights should be noticeable without staring directly at them. Most of the LEDs in undertails like the hot bodies ones use cheap tiny red LEDs in "clear" lenses which make it pretty much impossible to see them during the day. Nobody wants to hear it, but the stock brake light is brighter and safer than just about anything else out there currently for sale.

gts455 does look like he may have a tail light setup, not sure which undertail though. Hard to tell.

TastefullyDone I will be keeping mirrors, brake lights, and all things a sensible rider would have on the street but I was thinking of running that tail section on the street with an aftermarket undertail with LEDS. In the pic his undertail looks like it has a brake light sunken in no?

madbuyer And the possibility of parts of the wiring harness being hacked or missing.

It does look clean though...

gts455 I'm assuming you know this, but if not the downside to race fairings on the street is no lights. if i were you i would at least have running lights and brake lights on the street.

b.miller123 The bike has race fairings, and no mirrors. That is why it looks good. Only mods that I can see are an elka shock, a Scotts damper and sato rear sets. Of course there is also the single sided exhaust and hanger.

The undertail just looks like a piece of plastic. I made mine out of lexan from the hardware store:

Have you seen this bike??!

Hey everyone, I am in the market for my first SP2 and have fallen in love with the look of this bike in the link. Anyone know more about this bike? I intend to build a similar street version when I get mine and wanted to know of any mods that can be spotted. What undertail is that? are the fairings and tail aftermarket? If they are racing cowls/fairings on this bike ... and if so, are there any downsides to running these same racing fairings on the street and keeping the OEM Honda ones untouched? this bike has the jardine 2-1 I believe with a Sato Ti hanger? thanks to all the members. cheers:
