To clarify, the white sensor on the OEM airbox top is the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
The MAP sensor is mounted onto the throttle body, and is the same part number as the BARO sensor on the snorkel.
Find the part number and search for it on Ebay. I did that for the MAPsensor (When restoring Carlos' SP) and found CBR600's have the same part number. Bought one for $15. The inlet temp sensor much be cheap if available used, since it doesn't tend to fail or be damaged in accidents and there's no demand for it.
Comes as no surprise as Honda recycles many of the same components across model lines, albeit with different part numbers relating to the specific bike model.
If you search through the years (probably decades), you'll no doubt find many parts that look identical and think "I wonder...".
Years ago, I swear I saw a Honda MotoGP bike with what looked like the same hydraulic slave cylinder as the RC51.
However, being HRC, it bet it probably had titanium piston or such.
I know I have an extra air box, but tomorrow I'll check if it has the sensor in its lid. If it is, I'll let you know and get it in the mail this weekend.
